WE ARE CALLED TO CHRIST
Christ stands at the heart of this gathering of men into the “family of God.” By his word, through signs that manifest the reign of God, and by sending out his disciples, Jesus calls all people to come together around him. But above all in the great Pascal mystery–his death on the cross and his Resurrection–he would accomplish the coming of his kingdom. “And I, when I am lifted up from earth, will draw all men to myself” (John 12:32). Into this union with Christ all men are called. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 543)

Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity
2409 South Alverno Road, Manitowoc, WI 54220
Currently, our Discernment of Spirits Retreats are drawing young women from across the country. One young woman from Wisconsin is accepted for fall 2016 and another currently in process from Ohio. A young woman from Wisconsin will become a novice in June. 60 young women will be visiting our Motherhouse for Camp Franciscan, etc. Good news!
Our congregation began in 1869 under the leadership of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. We continue to invite young women to join us and are currently at 250 members. Some of our Sisters continue to call this area home.
